Finally....Batgirl in Macedonia!

Hit me London one more time

Batgirl hailing us a cab over the last weekend (Happy Easter!) in London , on route to Macedonia!!!!!!!!!

Back in Italy...

The view from my friend Susanna's balcony in Italy. I stopped by again on my way to Macedonia.

Batgirl in Carcassonne in the south of France

So I made it down to Carcassonne in the south of France, I stayed at this little bed and breakfast in the country. The two girls, Laurel and Bec from the left, were the only other guests and we had a great time. Very relaxing. Also Carcassonne has its very own fortified city including a Chateau. A few hundred people still live inside the castle walls and they all live there with their doggies. Most french families I saw there had a doggie in tow, so cute! I spent 4 days there and then started my trek to Macedonia.... 17 hours on 3 trains to Italy, and that was just the beginning.

Happy Birthday Eiffel Tower!!!

Well upper east siders, you might have some competition in the City of Lights - Paris is amazing. While I was there it was the Eiffel Towers 120th Birthday!!!!! I wanted them to have fireworks but I had to settle for the sparkly lights and Ohhh are they SPARKLY! The whole tower lights up at night and sparkles like a Harry Winston engagement ring....its pretty :)
Loved the Eiffel Tower but it is cold way up there sooo, I have to say my favorite part of Paris was the Musse de Orsay (see picture 2). All the impressionist art my little heart could desire. What you see there is my personal favorite Pierre-Auguste Renior, Danse a la campagne, all I can say it being in their presence is simply splendid.
And then because the weather was fricken awesome I did a night walking tour of Paris - me at the Arc de Triumph - Napolean really did have a complex. That arc is HUGE!
Im off to enjoy London, again!

Look kids! Big Ben! & THANK YOU JAMES!!!!

Well my time has come to say goodby to Great Brittan! Tomorrow I am on a train to Brussels via the Chunnel - yes Kristie I am taking a train UNDERWATER - AHHH! I will be fine I promise.

I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all of Lindseys wonderful friends who hosted us and showed us around for my time in England. Most specifically I would like to thank James (pictured above with me and Lindsey in Scotland) for all of his wonderful and generous hospitality. You are awesome and I am going to send you a flat screen TV for your graduation from Med school this summer :) You need it so you can watch medic shows and learn bedside manner from House. Thank you thank you thank you!

St. Patricks Day in Ireland!

Um, yum GUINESS! I don't know about Christmas in Kilarney but St. Patrick's day in Kilarney, Ireland is awesome! Anyone who tells you that the Irish don't celebrate St. Patricks day is a liar. We were driving across the country and got stopped for parades. 650,000 people showed up in Dublin for their parade. The whole country takes the day off to party. Like I said, awesome!

Above you see that Batgirl had her fill - I told her to pace herself but to no avail, she was done by 7pm ouch! Whitney and I made it till all the kegs were dry! We were actually just waiting for the next delivery.....

Hope you all enjoyed your Paddys day as much as we did!

Batgirl at the Queen's House!

So since my last blog, Whitney and Kristie have come and gone, we went to Ireland for St. Patricks day (pics forthcoming) and we went to hang in London for a few days! Above you see Batgirl on the way into Buckingham Palace to have tea with the Queen, the rest of us were not invited (which is why you see us waiting outside the gate, from the left Me, my sister Lindsey, my sister Whitney, my part time sister/best friend Kristie), but she said it went well -as one would imagine most of the coversation was about fighting crime in the UK and how she would be happy to lend a hand whenever she was needed across the pond.

We also saw Big Ben, the London Eye and the National Portrait gallery - Photo of Patrick Stewart (or Captian Jean Luc Picard) was the Portrait of the month! Whoo hoo!

Well soon I will be leaving the island for greater Europe - I will let you know where I am going once I figure that out myself. Miss you all!

Batgirl in Scotland!

Kilts, haggis and wiskey is the life for me!

Edinburgh, Scotland, the perfect place for a night owl like Batgirl. With a serious nightlife involving scottish wiskey pouring from the fountians and ghosts around every haunting corner this place was a ton of fun. The old town is seriously old with huge stone buildings lineing the winding hilly streets and a bonifide castle at the end of the Royal Mile.

Lindsey, her friend James and I spent the last weekend here and we got sun, rain, snow and hail all within 24 hours. It was sweet. Totally somewhere I would reccomend to anybody who might find themselves in the area, meaning this hemisphere. Batgirl seal of approval = Love it!

Batgirl in Milano

Batgirl in front of the Duomo di Milano, the hotspot for all things shopping and fashion. Here is wehre the world comes for designer shopping. Every street is lined with the most expensive shops I have seen in my life and it is awesome! The cathedral (or Duomo) in the background is pretty fablous as well. This was my last day in Italy, but I will return for sure!

Ciao Italy!

Caio bella!

I made it across the Atlantic ocean, through London-Heathrow all the way to beautiful Italy. All I can say is Dolce & Gabana, Fendi and Prada, Gucci and Dior EVERYWHERE! Love it!

The picture above is at the waters edge of Lake Como looking back at the beautiful city. My friend Susanna, who I am staying with here in northern Italy, grew up here. Not a bad place to be from, if I do say so myself. Today Susanna and I went to the school where her mother teaches in Como to speak to 3 classes of high school students who are studing english. Susanna spoke about her experiance at her University in Milan and the time she spent in Colorado at CSU (where I met her). I answered questions about life in America: What is the best city? Will Obama make a good president? and the really important one What kind of animals are there in America? It was a lot of fun and I now have at least three 13-14yr old Italian boyfriends, go me!

Last night Susanna and Maurizio gathered all of their english speaking friends together for dinner so I would have someone to talk to and so they could practice their english on me. We went out for pizza at a pizzaria that a friend of Maurizio owns. OMG, real Italian pizza is so fricken good. Susanna's father, whom I ate lunch with today, explained that it is because the ingrediants are so much better here and after eating pizza, lasanga, and gnoochi I must agree. It has been like regular Italian food on flavor steroids, simply fantastico!

Susanna has so much more planned for me this weekend. We are going back to Como tomorrow to meet the rest of her family and see the real Bellagio. We are also going to swing by villa di George Clooney, seeing as how he is practically neighbors with Susannas sister on the lake, I am sure he will be very glad to see us!

Arriverderci for now! xoxo,

Viva Las Vegas!

Miles had no problem living the high life in Vegas this weekend.  This tot enjoyed the luxury suite at The Palazzo like a seasoned high roller.  We ate, we slept and we watched Aristocats and 101 Dalmatians.  We also went to see the lions and tigers at the Secret Garden in the Mirage.  Life is good!

I would like to send a shout out to my friend Cameron and his beautiful girlfriend Gisela.  Thank you for showing me a great night out on the town, it was so nice to see and meet you!  I would love to return the hospitality next time you are in CO, that is if you call : )

Back to Colorado I go tomorrow...  To all my family (Spilmans, Bergums, Turners, and Levinhagen) Friends new (Cattlemans crew, Big and Strong Gymnastics buddies, and more) and old (Harris', Buckleys & Vaios) I will miss you all very much.  I hope to see you all again soon, I promise I will come visit and my door is always open to visitors and their puppies too.

To all my friends and family at home, I missed you, I can't wait to see you and please don't see any movies with out me because I will be home in like 15 hrs.  See you soon!

Happy Valentines Day!

T minus 14 days

Welcome Upper East Siders to my blog to follow the drama around the world and back again.  Glad  you can at least join me virtually if not in actuality.   I am closing in on the final stretch here in NorCal anxiously awaiting my trip to Europe.   Hope you enjoy the journey as much as I know I will.....

Today is my official last day at Cattlemans, so let me give a hella loud shout out to all of my peeps there, you know who you are and you know I love you!  Aren't you so proud of my use of the word hella?!  I will miss all of you so much and I hope that you will come visit me in CO. I'm tellin ya the snow is sick out there.  Kristen, you come see me in the summer sweetie :).

Next up: Vegas, baby, VEGAS! Currently packing for Vegas, leaving Thursday with Janet and Miles.  Nothing like 3 days in Vegas to end my 6 month run here in sunny California (especially because we are now officially in a drought and its rained like twice since I got here in July).

Please stay tuned for updates on my forthcoming mission to the other side of the planet.  Currently on the docket: Milan, Como, London, Bath, Oxford, Edinburgh, tour of southern Ireland over St. Patricks Day, Greece, and Macedonia.....But trust me that is just the beginning.

Check you later - same Bat time, same Bat channel.
